On this site I have put together some information that will hopefully help you in making a decision about whether you would like to discuss starting your therapy with me. I have also provided some links to websites with free resources and information that you may find helpful.

 

Listed below you can find out more about the therapy approaches I offer and I describe more about my understanding of the different issues that can impact on our mental health in difficulties I can support you with.

 

I offer therapy on weekday evenings from a specialist therapy clinic just outside East Grinstead, which you can find more about by clicking on their link via my contact and location page. I also have provided information on my availability and charges.

Types of therapy I offer

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is the most commonly used and evidenced therapeutic approach for the majority of mental health problems.

 

It is the main approach that informs the therapy I provide and I have many years experience and training in the use of this type of therapy.

 

 

EMDR

Increasingly EMDR is becoming the recommended treatment for trauma and PTSD.

 

I am trained and experienced in using this therapy with many different types of trauma, from those occuring during childhood to more recent events such as car accidents or battlefield PTSD.

 

Mindfulness

Mindfulness and compassionate mind therapy, are increasingly used to manage over-busy or critical states of mind.

 

I have significant experience and training in using such approaches with both individuals and groups and I have found they can be highly effective with a wide range of difficulties.

 

Schema Approaches

Schema therapy approaches can be of particular help to people with long standing and complex difficulties, often occuring as result of adverse childhoods.

 

I have also found integrating techniques from Schema Therapy can significantly enhance the effectiveness of other therapy approaches.
